The Nazca Lines

Nazca culture · 200 BC–500 AD · Sechura Desert, Peru

Remove dark pebbles from pale ground and a line appears. Extend it for kilometres and it becomes a hummingbird, spider, or monkey — shapes their creators could never have seen whole.
